‘Riviera’ is a collection of 45 poems about tourism. Structured around three interlaced series and a series of annotated maps, the book follows three storylines—a night at a resort, a banquet, and a trip to a quarry—narrated in different tenses, thus dissecting a desert landscape based on silences and omissions.

Underlining the extractive nature of tourism through the notions of leisure, rest, and pleasure, ‘Riviera’ uses cuts, zeugmas, and ellipses to explore a semi-biographical plot where the characters remain undisclosed. At the same time, the book sketches the archive of a place immersed between body and space, condensing these two dimensions into a visual narrative centered on a landscape in ruins.

‘Riviera’ has been published by Bestiário in Portugal in September 2025.
